MATERIALS AND CARE
You should store your jewelry with care to ensure its longevity and prevent damage. Here are some general guidelines on how to store your jewelry:
1. Store Separately: Store each piece of jewelry separately to prevent them from scratching, tangling, or damaging each other. You can use small pouches, jewelry boxes, or compartments within a jewelry organizer for this purpose.
2. Keep it Dry: Moisture can damage jewelry over time, so make sure to store it in a dry place. Consider using silica gel packets or desiccants to absorb excess moisture in your storage area.
3. Avoid Direct Sunlight: Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can fade or damage gemstones and affect the color of metals. Store your jewelry away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
4. Keep Away from Chemicals: Strong chemicals in other brand's perfumes, hair sprays, cosmetics, makeup removers, body oil, sunscreen, deodorant, and cleaning products can damage your jewelry. Always remove your jewelry before using these products. For RAPHAE fragrances, you can either lightly spray a small amount on the jewelry's surface or apply a drop inside the jewelry that can hold perfume.
5. Label or Organize: If you have a large jewelry collection, consider labeling or organizing your pieces by type, occasion, or style to make it easier to find what you need.
By following these storage guidelines, you can help ensure that your jewelry remains in good condition.
You should clean your jewelry with care to maintain its appearance and shine. Here are some cleaning guidelines:
1. Use a soft cloth: Please use the soft, non-abrasive, and lint-free cloth or chamois enclosed in your order to clean your jewelry gently. This is to remove dirt, oils, or fingerprints. This is usually sufficient to maintain the jewelry's shine.
2. Handle Gemstones with Care: If your jewelry has gemstones, handle them with extra care. Some gemstones can be sensitive to cleaning solutions, so it's best to use gentle methods. Avoid using brushes or abrasive cleaners that may damage the gemstones.
3. Avoid Soaking or Harsh Cleaners: Avoid soaking jewelry in water, especially if it contains gemstones. Additionally, steer clear of "dip" or abrasive jewelry cleaners as they can potentially harm your jewelry.
4. Regular Inspection: Periodically inspect your jewelry to ensure there are no loose gemstones, damaged clasps, or other issues. Identifying and addressing these problems promptly can extend the life of your jewelry.
Please note that different types of jewelry may require different cleaning methods, and if you are unsure about how to clean a particular piece of jewelry, you can also email us.
To protect your jewelry while you're wearing it and ensure it stays in good condition, here are some tips:
1. Remove Jewelry When Swimming: Chlorine in swimming pools and saltwater can be particularly damaging to jewelry. Always take off your jewelry before swimming to prevent potential corrosion or damage.
2. Protect from Physical Impact: Be mindful of physical activities and try to avoid situations where your jewelry might get knocked or bumped. Remove delicate pieces when engaging in strenuous activities or sports to prevent damage.
3. Avoid Excessive Moisture: Moisture can harm jewelry over time, especially if it contains porous gemstones like opals or pearls. Remove your jewelry before bathing or showering, and consider removing it before bedtime to prevent sweat and moisture buildup.
4. Secure Clasps and Fastenings: Make sure clasps, hooks, and fastenings are securely closed to prevent accidental loss. Regularly check for loose or damaged clasps.
5. Rotate Pieces: Avoid wearing the same jewelry pieces every day. Give them a break to prevent excessive wear and tear.
6. Choose Protective Coating Products: We offer protective coating options for some of our products, such as rhodium plating for white gold. These coatings can provide an additional layer of protection against wear and tarnish.
7. Store Properly When Not Wearing: When you're not wearing your jewelry, store it in a dry and secure place. Use individual pouches or compartments to prevent pieces from scratching or tangling.
By following these tips, you can help protect your jewelry and keep it looking beautiful for years to come.
1. Brand-Specific Perfume: It's advisable to use perfumes specifically designed by Raphae for your jewelry to avoid any potential discoloration or adverse reactions.
2. Moderate Perfume Application: When applying perfume, add a conservative amount, typically 3-5 drops, to a single piece of jewelry. Avoid applying a large quantity at once or doing it too frequently, as excessive perfume may affect the jewelry's integrity or appearance.
3. Single Fragrance Recommendation: It's generally recommended to use only one fragrance for each piece of jewelry. Mixing multiple scents may not only alter the intended fragrance but could also lead to unexpected chemical interactions. However, if you personally enjoy and are comfortable with mixing scents, you can do so at your discretion.
Is it permissible to introduce liquids other than perfume into perfume jewelry?
In addition to perfume, you can also incorporate pure natural essential oils. We recommend utilizing reputable branded essential oils to guarantee ingredient safety. It's advisable to seek guidance from a certified essential oil practitioner, particularly when selecting skin-friendly essential oil varieties. Endeavor to minimize direct skin contact when applying these oils.
Please refrain from using blended essential oils, as they not only have restricted scent diffusion capabilities but can also lead to staining and potential damage to the jewelry.
